Europic
Pronunciation
- Europic Phonology: /vuŋ.kli.na.ʃa.mu/
Etymology
From vunklinu ‘aunt’ + -camu ‘spouse’.
Noun
vunklina-camu
- spouse of aunt, auncle-in-law
- An overly-specific term that would be used in place of vunkla-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s aunt rather than one’s uncle. There are additionally even more specific terms such as vunklina-caminu ‘aunt’s wife’ and vunklina-camotcu ‘aunt’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
