Europic
Pronunciation
- Europic Phonology: /ne.fo.ʧa.ʃa.mu/
Etymology
From nefotcu ‘nephew’ + -camu ‘spouse’.
Noun
nefotca-camu
- spouse of nephew, nibling-in-law
- An overly-specific term that would be used in place of nefa-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s nephew rather than one’s niece. There are additionally even more specific terms such as nefotca-caminu ‘nephew’s wife’ and nefotca-camotcu ‘nephew’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
