It is uncertain whether or not this word is related to the unproductive prefix se-. From Proto-Coelo-Caric Template:term. Cognate with Carichendan tsira ("to write"), which reflects the survival of the root's original non-specific usage in Pre-Carichendan, because of its compound with the element -ra, presumably the same as in ranya ("book").
