Usage Notes

A suffix that converts a verb to a deverbal noun, e.g. kibte ‘to create’ → kibetma ‘creation’; aisaké ‘to travel’ → aisakma ‘travel, travelling’. For te-stem verbs, ⟨t⟩ is retained after the stem; for ké-stem verbs, ⟨k⟩ is retained after the stem.
