Europic

Etymology

Root √nya.

Affix (Suffix, adjectival)

-nya

  1. -less, -free, without
Because the suffix -nya is derived from a preposition (nya ‘without’), and perhaps because the sequence yi is unpalatable, adjectives composed with -nya are adverbialized using the suffix -mo (with a hyphen) rather than changing the ending to -i. (In Vulgar European, deriving adverbs with -mo becomes much more common, and can be used with most adjectives.)
