Europic
Pronunciation
- Europic Phonology: /vat.ro.ʧa.ʃa.mu/
Etymology
From vatrotcu ‘father’ + -camu ‘spouse’.
Noun
vatrotca-camu
- spouse of father, step-parent
- An overly-specific term that would be used in place of vatra-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s father rather than one’s mother. There are additionally even more specific terms such as vatrotca-caminu ‘father’s wife’ and vatrotca-camotcu ‘father’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
