Europic
Pronunciation
- Europic Phonology: /ne.fi.na.ʃa.mu/
Etymology
From nefinu ‘niece’ + -camu ‘spouse’.
Noun
nefina-camu
- spouse of niece, nibling-in-law
- An overly-specific term that would be used in place of nefa-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s niece rather than one’s nephew. There are additionally even more specific terms such as nefina-caminu ‘niece’s wife’ and nefina-camotcu ‘niece’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
