Europic
Pronunciation
- Europic Phonology: /bra.ti.na.ʃa.mu/
Etymology
From bratinu ‘sister’ + -camu ‘spouse’.
Noun
bratina-camu
- spouse of sister, sibling-in-law
- An overly-specific term that would be used in place of brata-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s sister rather than one’s brother. There are additionally even more specific terms such as bratina-caminu ‘sister’s wife’ and bratina-camotcu ‘sister’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
