Europic

Pronunciation

Etymology

From vatrinu ‘mother’ + -camu ‘spouse’.

Noun

vatrina-camu

  1. spouse of mother, step-parent
An overly-specific term that would be used in place of vatra-camu in normal speech only in a case where one wanted to specify that the relative in question was married to one’s mother rather than one’s father. There are additionally even more specific terms such as vatrina-caminu ‘mother’swife’ and vatrina-camotcu ‘mother’s husband’ which are usually reserved for legal documents or other language that needs to be very precise.
